Booster Doses

Booster doses for 16 and 17 year olds

A booster dose is especially recommended for 16 and 17-year-olds who are at higher risk of severe outcomes from COVID-19. This includes those who are immunocompromised (or living with a family member who is immunocompromised) and Māori and Pacific rangatahi.

Vaccines for children aged 5 to 11 years

We have stopped administering vaccines for children aged 5 to 11 years. If you are enrolled with us and want to get your child vaccinated against covid- 19, click on walk-in-centres or Drive through centres

Vaccination after Covid-19 infection

After testing positive for COVID-19, the Ministry of Health recommends the following vaccination intervals:

  • For 5-11 years – wait 3 months before your first or second doses.
  • For those aged 12 and above – wait 3 months before your first, second, or booster doses.

The Government announced yesterday that parents and caregivers will have the opportunity to immunise children aged 5 to 11 years old against COVID-19 from 17th January, 2022.

Pre-departure covid-19 test

Pre-depature covid-19 test if you're leaving New Zealand

Some countries require travellers to confirm a negative COVID-19 test before they leave New Zealand. You can check the requirements of the country you are travelling to, by contacting their local high commission, embassy or consulate in New Zealand.

We are not offering covid-19 pre-departure Rapid Antigen testing. If you wish to get a pre-departure Rapid Antigen Test, click on Supervised RATs for travel. Kindly check beforehand if they provide a letter as well.

We are not offering pre-departure PCR testing. If you need a pre-departure PCR covid test, you can visit this website https://www.rakoscience.com/ and book a test with them.


Symptomatic Covid-19 testing

If you are unwell with cold, flu or COVID-19 symptoms and are our enrolled patient, do give us a call on 09 8339433 to speak to one of our clinical team members.

If you are booked for an appointment in our "Cottage" (this is where we see our patients with covid type symptoms), please stay in your car at your appointment time in our back car park. If it is 20 minutes past your appointment time, give us a call on 09 833 9433.
